Kenyon PI 3 Strand carrier ropes are a worldwide industry standard. They are the only true carrier ropes specifically designed for paper machine threading systems and offer a balance of performance, durability and ease of use.

Available in a range of options, PI 3 Strand carrier ropes are providing specialist solutions to particular problems and conditions experienced on paper machines. They are all available with colour markers to aid inside, middle or outside rope position identifications.

Made from 100% spun nylon to the Kenyon patent 'interstranded' principle, each strand is built up layer by layer ensuring an even distribution of tension. Splicing is quick and simple by the Kenyon developed rolling splice method. The round section is maintained on the paper machine giving the maximum possible 'nip' without excessive operating tension.

PI 3 Strand Low Elongation ("LE") carrier rope is now available. "LE" carrier rope is specifically engineered for conditions where elongation due to moisture or insufficient take-up is a problem, offering 30% to 40% lower elongation than standard three strand grades. "LE" carrier rope is the preferred choice in coater and size press sections and positions with independently driven ropes.

If there is a position causing particular difficulty on a machine, this unique rope may provide the answer - offering extremely effective tail threading even under difficult machine conditions.
